Why a St Paul Trip?

St. Paul: Apostle to the Gentiles

He hunted Christians down, held the coats of men who stoned Stephen, and then, on a dusty road to Damascus, a blinding light knocked him to the ground and a voice called his name. Saul the persecutor became Paul the preacher, and nothing in the ancient world would ever be the same.

For the next three decades, Paul crisscrossed the Roman Empire on foot and by ship, planting churches in hostile cities, facing riots, shipwrecks, beatings, and prison, and writing letters that would become the theological backbone of our Christian faith. He took the Gospel from the synagogue to the marketplace, from Jerusalem to the far edges of the known world, insisting that the Good News of Jesus was for every nation, every tribe, every tongue.

He poured his life into young leaders like Timothy and Titus, training the next generation to carry the torch when he could not. His courage and theology turned the world upside down and reshaped human history.

Why You Should Go

The New Testament stops being a flat page and becomes a living landscape the moment you stand where it happened. When you climb the Areopagus in Athens and picture Paul reasoning with philosophers who worshiped an unknown god, Acts 17 stops being a story you have heard and becomes a place you have stood. When you walk the ruins of Ephesus and see the massive theater where a mob shouted for two hours in defense of Artemis, Paul's letter to the Ephesians carries a weight it never had before.

For Pastors, Teachers, and Evangelists, this trip is sermon material for years to come. You will return with images, insights, and firsthand context that will bring every teaching on Paul's Epistles to life for your congregation.

For Believers it is a chance to have your faith deepened in a way that reading alone cannot accomplish. Scripture becomes tangible. The cost of following Christ, the courage it took to preach in these cities, and the sheer scale of what God accomplished through one transformed life will settle into your bones.

For Leaders at every level, Paul's example is a masterclass in mentorship, resilience, and mission. He built teams. He trained successors. He pressed forward through suffering with his eyes fixed on a greater call. Walking his roads is a call to walk in the same kind of courage and purpose in your own leadership and ministry.

This October, you will not just read about Paul. You will walk the same roads. You will stand in the ruins of the cities he shook to their foundations. You will see the harbors he sailed from, the hills he preached on, and the prisons that could not silence him. Turkey and Greece will stop being names on a map and become the living backdrop of the greatest missionary story ever told.

Come walk in the footsteps of the man who took Jesus to the world.
